Worship

Worship With Us

At 10.30 a.m. we worship in the sanctuary, which has wooden pews, beautiful stained glass, and both a main level and balcony. Our service is a blend of traditional and contemporary, with sharing of good news, singing, prayer, scripture, a sermon, and communion. Our service is live streamed every week on our Facebook page and on You Tube.

Serving in Worship

Serving in Worship

Because the Disciples of Christ denomination recognizes the value of non-clergy persons serving alongside clergy, there are many opportunities to serve in our worship service.

  • Elders and members of the diaconate assist with offering and communion.

  • Lectors read prayers and scripture.

  • Children light candles, pick up used communion cups, help greeters, and sometimes help adults collect offering and serve communion.

  • Greeters welcome all who enter our doors.

  • Individuals with vocal and/or instrumental gifts share their talents throughout the year as “Special Music”

  • The handbell choir enhances the beautiful sound of our handbell choir enhance worship at special times throughout the year.

  • Our weekly musicians include song leaders, pianist, organist, and bass guitarist.

  • Beginning at 10:15 a.m. in the sanctuary, contemporary worship music is played in the sanctuary; feel free to sing along, pray, reflect, or greet your neighbor.

  • At 10:30, our service begins with a couple of non-traditional “Gathering Songs”.
